Luciana Paventy (she/her)
is thrilled to be this semester's editor in chief! She is a senior who appreciates fellow over-thinkers, all things creative writing, and clouds. She fangirls over Ellen Bass, Brian Doyle, and Jamila Lyiscott who inspire her to continue her overthinking, but turn it into poetry.

is a Senior English Literature student minoring in Africana Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies. Outside of her passion for writing poetry and prose, she loves shooting pictures on her digital camera and listening to soulful R&B.

Josh Olatunji (he/him)
is a junior from Boston, Massachusetts. When he’s not writing, Josh can be found around campus reading manga or watching sports. He’s a big fan of all Boston sports teams. Go Celtics!

is a dedicated Graphic Design major from Seattle. She loves to draw (especially with colored pencils), swim, scrapbook, and create unnecessarily elaborate gifts in the makerspace for her friends.

is a junior studying creative writing and French. As a writer, her closest friends are characters from fantastical worlds, and her notes app. When she’s not writing, you can find her watching movies with real friends and listening to the newest musical obsession. Halle is grateful to be a part of the Calliope team and is excited to see what the future holds!

is a normal guy with no bad intentions. Michael Daniels is a creative writing major. Michael Daniels loves the Chicago Bears, and Gucci flip flops, and also he eats trash. Michael Daniels is very excited to be a part of Calliope and he’d like to tell you hello and also hi :)! (he loves you)

is a writer from San Jose, California. He dreamed of being an author in elementary school and is now looking to actualize that dream. When he isn’t writing, he likes rock climbing, learning to cook new foods, and listening to audio dramas.

Izzy Geldbach (she/her)
is a senior Performance/Directing Theatre B.A. with a minor in English. While not in class, she participates in clubs such as Improv Inc. and the Coalition of Artistic Students in Theatre (C.A.S.T.). Her main area of interest is comedy; whenever she is creating something, a lot of her inspiration is drawn from Amy Poehler. Writing and editing are fairly new to Izzy's world, but she loves creating stories and analyzing texts, so this is the job for her!

is a double major in dance and English journalism and minors in Peace Studies. After Chapman, she hopes to go to graduate school to earn her Masters in Social Welfare. Outside of school, they like to read, participate in local activism, and go hiking.

is a senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. They are a passionate and dedicated person helping the world through their writing by advocating for various social justice issues to encourage truth. She explores the complexities of life as a Mexican-American and uplifts stories that need to be told. Mackenzie aspires to continue to help their community through both academic and creative lenses for a better tomorrow.

Anisa Abdulkariem (she/her)
is a dedicated Graphic Design major with a minor in Creative Cultural Industries. She was born and raised in San Francisco and is the eldest of her four siblings. Beyond her academic pursuits, Anisa finds fulfillment in various interests, including a passion for soccer, visits to Disneyland, and an appreciation for Formula 1 racing.

is a sophomore Graphic Design major. Originally from Oklahoma, Juliet loves to travel. She was lucky enough to take a gap year during which she visited 9 countries. She also loves playing piano, film photography, and reading.

is excited to be starting her 5th semester on Calliope's Art Board! A 3D animation student at Chapman, she's passionate about visual storytelling and illustration. In her free time she enjoys making jewelry, snorkeling, zine-making, and listening to music. Currently, her favorite musicians are The Cranberries, The Smiths, and Megan Thee Stallion.

is a Studio Art Major, with double minors in Graphic Design and Production Design for Film. Her work has been featured in a variety of galleries, from Chapman's Guggenheim to New York City’s La Mama Galleria. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and stressing about her next art project.

is a sophomore Graphic Design major and English minor, originally from Long Island, New York. Outside of art, he enjoys writing, playing the piano, and frantically cleaning/organizing. Matthew also enjoys listening to music and creating playlists. Some of his favorite artists include Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Britney Spears.
