At Calliope Art & Literary Magazine, we publish compelling work that inspires us to pursue our own creative excellence. Calliope encourages creatives to engage with the publishing industry and, more importantly, with each other. Artists of all backgrounds and styles are welcome to share their work.

 

Calliope strives to honor the diverse voices and styles of Chapman University while maintaining high standards of integrity and quality. Our board members bridge their experiences across a variety of genres and mediums to thoughtfully review every submission.

 

Each submission is reviewed and evaluated anonymously, meaning evaluators receive no identifying information about any creator until their piece has been accepted. By working with authors to polish their pieces and providing feedback for improvement, we are able to showcase an eclectic range of groundbreaking work while encouraging artists to take risks and try new things.

We are proud to keep all issues free to read and enjoy. We also host a number of open social engagements to foster connections and creativity within our community.
